After a little water damage. I had the opportunity to fit ’ new 3phase SPD DB.

Upgraded the supply from 10mm 4Core - 25mm 5C. New 3phase 100A fused Isolator at the origin. RCBO on each circuit bringing everything up to 18th Edition.

Inspection identified that some cables sized were too small for their circuit protection so protective devices downsized for them circuits.

Been quiet on here due to being super busy. But here’s a consumer unit from a 2nd fix these last few days.


- 10 way SPD ☑️
- Din rail entry ☑️
- Fire retardant board / Fire retardant grommet ☑️
- Mini RCBO’s ☑️
- CPC’s dressed first ☑️
- RCBO’s bootlace crimped ☑️
- All ready to liven each circuit as and when they are completed / tested ☑️

1st fix now complete on Dale Street rewire.

Council came out this morning and approved everything. The other trades can get in now and I’ll be back to 2nd fix and test everything at a later date.

One of this weeks jobs was getting Kitchen / Utility room ready for new Kitchen install.

Along with adding extra sockets, an outside light, and a new smoke detector circuit.

This was 1 half of a messy socket circuit in the kitchen, which failed Inspection and Testing (Zs value was the worst I’ve seen). So important to get your electrics routinely checked by a qualified electrician.

First stage of a full rewire completed. Got ahead of the game a little bit by running the circuits in and all drops done...
