Showing last 6 inches of clean on this wood burning stove where the bird guard cowl pot at top of chimney was solid with Tar and entire liner from top to bottom was cover in a heavy layer .
Video also highlighting how poor the fuel was .
Poor fuel causes creosote which will corrode liners and also increases the likely hood of a chimney fire.
Keep homes safe warm and cosy 🔥

New home owner sweep.
Swept liner off wood burner .
Vermiculite was leaking low down at 1 and a half meters which should never happen if liner is solid so after sweep , advised I do a cctv inspection to see whats going on .
As suspected a crack in liner 1 and a half meters up .
Continued cctv inspection to top of chimney pot and found the liner was short and had never been connected at top by installer .

Always a joy to see pets in homes when out sweeping each year .
This is Dexter who was a puppy back in 2025 and jumped in my van on that occasion when he was small .
He and was so excited this year to have a cuddle and kiss again now hes a big boy .

All safe now and smoke test flew up chimney .
