Two setup Tuesday πŸ˜‰

Back in 2018 we visited a great local firewood supplier in Aberfeldy. Their production was very efficient with both the biggest and smallest circular saw processors in the PALAX - Firewood Processors range πŸ”₯

The first one pictured is the Palax Power 70S, Log deck and Cleaner and it's set up to process and clean all logs that are 10" and under.

Their second and main setup is the Palax Power 100S, Mega Log deck and Palax Roller. This one process' and cleans everything else upto 40cm πŸ’ͺ

By having both setups in use they can maximize production with a faster cycle speed on the smaller logs and almost no saw time or ram power wasted whilst using the big processor πŸ™Œ

Some more oldies for you today πŸ™Œ This time it's a Daewoo 255 lcv fitted with a Ponsse H73e harvesting head πŸ’ͺ

This one was a bit different to our usual conversions and I think it's actually the only excavator we ever fitted with a Ponsse head 🀩

Hope you all have a great weekend 🌞🍻

🌲 Foresteri Friday 🌲

There's been a few weird and wonderful applications we've partnered Kesla/Foresteri loaders with over the years πŸ’«

So I thought I'd continue on from my post on Sunday starting with this Unimog 1650 we fitted with a Foresteri 2009T loader and Rabaud winch back in 2012.

The mog's crane was originally manufactured during the transition from Foresteri to Kesla and although it's black, most in the UK were fitted to timber trucks and were the same shade as the 2010T in the 2nd picture πŸ‘Œ

Stay safe and have a great weekend πŸ™‚πŸ»

Bit of history for Lookback 12 πŸ”Ž

In 2006 Kesla decided to focus their attention solely on forest technology 🌲
The PATU brand was already well known for it's tractor applications and can still be found in a (maybe not so) bright shade of patu red πŸ˜‰

FORESTERI on the other hand was known mainly for heavy duty forest machine cranes, usually found in a legendary shade of Foresteri blue. Many timber trucks throughout the uk still operate a Foresteri loader to this day πŸ’ͺ
In 2006 the full range of Foresteri and Patu products finally united to become the one iconic brand that Kesla are today πŸ™Œ

We converted this Case CX130B excavator around that time and the harvesting head we installed boasted the distinguished new colour scheme πŸ‘Œ If you look closely enough though you can see the head still says KESLA patu 560 sh and must be one of many that were supplied during this transition year 😯

Hope you liked the wee trip down memory lane, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your Sunday 🌞🍻

Big thanks to D.M Taylor Firewood Supplies in Morpeth for sending this awesome vid of his set up in action πŸ™Œ
Darren runs a PALAX - Firewood Processors Power 90s and the Roller.

The vibrating cog's on the roller have been designed to precisely the right sizes with each one running at the perfect speed, allowing only the debris to fall through and leaving a clean end product every time πŸ”₯
Height is adjustable too which comes in handy for loading up straight off the machine πŸ’ͺ🀩
