The sunny weather has allowed some impressive progression at Bespoke House 'Project LMF' in Shropshire.

The Glazing has now been installed. These are no ordinary windows / doors. They are highly efficient 0.8W/m²K U-value Aluclad timber frame units with a solar controlling G-value to ensure no overheating occurs on the heavily glazed elevations.

Next attention will be moving to the full standing seam Zinc roof in the next fortnight.

B3architectural has secured another Planning Approval for 2-4 new build dwellings on Green Belt Land in Audley. In Audley at present we un-doubtedly have a housing shortage and in our view this type of considered 'in-filling' within small green gaps is both; needed, and entirely ethical.

Despite 46 Objectors B3's submission clearly demonstrated that the proposals were sustainably located, met local need, and the site met the definition of 'Grey Belt' in accordance with latest policy guidance. All site constraints / considerations could also be mitigated against, (tree RPA's, PROW, flood risk and proximity to watercourses etc).

The Site will make an incredible opportunity for multiple Self-Builders, equally a Developer might be able to create accessible housing / affordable housing / bespoke or high end housing, the site location is ideal for any use.

Phase 1 at the Manor House Hotel & Spa.

B3 were engaged to provide architectural support for a proposal that converted 6 Existing Hotel Rooms Inc’ the former Bridal Suites to create a Changing Rooms, Locker Rooms, Showers, and Toilets for both Ladies and Gents.

This was a fast paced conversion project, where fire regulations, structural engineering, practical construction methods and interior design all needed to be swiftly blended to be a success.

The professional photos are pending but we took a quick photo today.

We have now completed Phase 2 designs for the site and begin Phase 3 internal alterations elsewhere on the site.

This week B3architectural has submitted this contemporary Link Extension for planning permission. The proposal connects the 'Main House' to an 'Annexe / Leisure Wing' with a carefully designed structure using a monolithic form with heavyset stone rubble walls broken up by lightweight glazed sections taking in views of Staffordshire Moorlands to the Peak District.

A constraint for this design is that over its 19.8m length the existing buildings have 1.8m of level change at ground floor level and this has a major influence on the proposed design.

Spring has sprung, the clocks have gone back and we have more daylight and hopefully; some better weather allowing several projects to commence.

This week it gives me great pleasure to share two granted on Thursday 26th and today; Monday 30th. Both for two storey rear extensions at two different properties on Hassall Road in Alsager.

It looks like the B3architectural site visits should be efficient this Summer. We are now moving onto the Structural Design and Technical Drawings ready to obtain prices.

B3architectural is pleased to announce that we have secured the first of our Permission in Principle submissions within Newcastle Under Lyme.

Alongside our Client we identified a strategic 'Green Gap' which met the definitions of 'Grey Belt' under new NPPF legislation. B3 prepared a detailed planning statement with two indicative schemes demonstrating options for 3 No New Larger Dwellings and 6 No. smaller Dwellings.

The reward was Planning Approval Granted by Planning Committee... This entire process took circa 8 weeks.

This week we have been to see Valley Stone workshop in Burslem. It was great to see first hand how they form the reconstituted stone cast architectural mouldings. These are dry trowelled into a timber mould and allowed to harden for circa 5 days.
