Hi everyone.

We are pleased that after the winter sheep the poppies have popped back well, ok not like before but lots. Anyway please may l ask that everyone stays too the paths and mowed sections. Not just for your safety but climbing through the flowers for a photo ruins it for everyone else.

Also dog owners, please keep your dogs on leads in the castle grounds. Not just for the sheep but also the hares and flowers. Alot of work goes into the upkeep from a great bunch of volunteers and in the past two days watching people flatten flowers for a photo and another letting their dog chase a hare through them is disrespectful to those that work hard and give up their free time to make it such a beautiful visit.

💕 Congratulations to Sarah & Alli! 💕
We were delighted to welcome Sarah and Alli to Castle Roy for their special day.
With the Cairngorms providing a magnificent backdrop, the ceremony was accompanied by the wonderful sounds of Monro Bagpiper, who looked and sounded splendid beneath the ancient walls.
The younger members of the wedding party looked exceptionally smart in their matching brown suits and were a credit to the occasion.
And we simply have to mention the bride's footwear! 👰✨ White platform Crocs adorned with bows and lace socks proved that comfort and style can go hand in hand, and were perhaps the most practical wedding shoes ever seen at Castle Roy.
We wish Sarah and Alli every happiness for the future and thank them for choosing Castle Roy to celebrate such a memorable day.

We’re delighted to be starting something new at Castle Roy…
Our Drop-In Car Boot Sales will be run by a volunteer, and we’re really hoping they become a regular feature in the Nethy Bridge calendar.
🗓 First one: Sunday 3rd May
(then the first Sunday of each month through to September)
It also falls on the same day as the Nethy Bridge Spring Gathering on the football field, so you can make a proper day of it and visit both.
Sellers from 10am | Buyers from 11am

We’re raising funds for an essential structural wall inspection, required as part of our agreement to keep the castle safe and open. It’s not glamorous work (no bunting or weddings involved), but it’s absolutely vital.
