Although they may seem similar, there are a few key differences that can influence which solution is best for your building or home.

Here's a quick guide:

✔ Platform lifts - have an L shaped platform in a supplied shaft and are a practical solution where space is limited or structural work needs to be kept to a minimum.

✔ Cabin platform lifts - feature enclosed walls and doors, offering a more traditional lift experience while still requiring less space than many conventional passenger lifts.

Both improve accessibility, but the right choice depends on your building, available space, and how the lift will be used.
