Had a lovely day at work today as Owen (my son) had a “go to work with your parents” day at school.
Showing him a variety of Plumbing & Heating jobs, giving him an insight as to what being a Plumber could be like should he decide to take that route once he’s finished school.
We carried out a service on an old oil boiler, stripped down and serviced a Worcester Bosch gas boiler, fixed a leaking shower, repaired a toilet that wouldn’t flush and swapped over a failed motorised valve on a heating system.
We also had time for him to do a bit of pipe bending and soldering so he could take a little gift home for his Mum.
He was a pleasure to have for the day, he took notes and asked questions all day.
He seemed to really enjoy it, although I’m pretty sure the KFC lunch was his favourite part of the day 🙈
