Trying to do what is best for a tree and produce work that is to the customers satisfaction can be tricky sometimes.
Normally I would be much more sympathetic when pruning a Horse Chestnut.
Pruned in March then recovering in May and lastly a full canopy in June. Some would say the canopy is too dense and is a result of severe pruning, but continued light maintenance will keep the tree healthy.
This is the 3rd time this tree has been pruned by me over 5 years.
