Our first major solar installation project we have been involved with for a church is providing immediate support to the community outreach work at St Mary's in Hamilton from the day it was connected !
The grants have been greatly appreciated by the church as the costs for a pv array of this size is not a cheap option they could have afforded without support.

We are delighted to share that the solar panel and battery installation at St Mary’s for All Church and Community Centre in Hamilton is now complete and fully operational.

Our designs for the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory have taken a major step forward with planning permission granted by Dumfries and Galloway Council. The project now moves forward with opening planned for 2027 .

The facility in Galloway will replace one which burned down in Ayrshire more than four years ago.

Useful information for traditional building owners looking to be more environmentally friendly and efficient with energy use

Historic buildings aren’t an energy problem—they’re part of the solution. While it’s often assumed that older buildings are ‘hard to treat’, years of trials show that we can upgrade traditionally constructed buildings without compromising their character.

Built with robust, sustainable materials and clever design features like passive ventilation, they were made to withstand the elements.

Our comprehensive guide explores retrofit strategies for traditional buildings in Scotland, helping us unlock their potential for a low-carbon future.

We are looking forward to reading the report on what was found in the dig. Initial report confirms various details we expected like the inner cobbled courtyard floor and an indication of how retaining walls were built, but there are also some interesting long lost domestic items that help to colour the lives of those who lived here over the 300 years of occupation in the merchant Cowane family home

A different view of our recent project at Cowane's House!
