⚡️ Happy Hump Day from Test My Electrics! ⚡️

Today was Day 2 of a major renovation project in Girvan, and the team have continued to make fantastic progress. 👏

✅ Downstairs front lighting circuit wired and ready for ceilings and partitions
✅ Downstairs front socket circuit wired and ready for partitions
✅ Upstairs socket circuits wired and boxed out

Tomorrow’s plan includes:

🔹 TV and Ethernet points
🔹 Kitchen wiring
🔹 The remainder of the rear of the property
🔹 SWA supply to the outdoor cellar/store building

This is a very large property, but thanks to the hard work, planning, and graft from the team, we’re currently on track to have the entire first fix completed a day ahead of schedule. 💪⚡️

It’s great to see everything coming together and staying ahead of programme. A massive well done to the boys for their efforts so far! 👏

⚡️🔧 Tuesdays at Test My Electrics 🔧⚡️

Another productive day for the team, this time down in Girvan working on a fantastic renovation project. 🏡💪

📍 Day 1 Progress
✅ Upstairs lighting circuits installed
✅ Smoke alarms wired and ready to keep the property safe
✅ Upstairs socket positions boxed out and chased where required
✅ Routes created for the downstairs circuits at the rear of the property

It was a hard day’s graft for the boys, but seeing a project start to take shape makes it all worthwhile. 👏⚡

The team continue to work their socks off every day, delivering safe, professional electrical installations across Ayrshire and beyond. We’re incredibly grateful for the support from all our customers, both old and new. 🙌

⚡️ 1st June… SIX MONTHS LEFT OF THE YEAR! 😱 ⚡️

Surely it can’t just be us wondering where 2026 has disappeared to?! 🤯

One minute it was New Year, and the next we’re halfway through the year already! 😂

The team have been flat out today with a bit of everything thrown into the mix:

💡 Client-Supplied Lights Fitted
🛠️ Plus a few other jobs to keep the boys on their toes!

That’s one thing we love about this job—no two days are ever the same. One minute we’re upgrading a consumer unit, the next we’re fitting an EV charger, then somehow ending up in a loft wondering who on earth put a junction box up there! 😂

⚡️ EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED… ⚡️

Over the years we’ve had team members wear the uniform, drive the vans, represent the brand, and fly the flag for Test My Electrics wherever they go...

But today, Jeff 2 took things to a whole new level.

He only went and got the Test My Electrics logo tattooed on his hand! 😳😂⚡️

Now that’s commitment.

Whether it’s loyalty, madness, or a bit of both, we’ll let you decide... but one thing is for sure — nobody can ever accuse him of not being invested in the company! 👏

A huge thank you to Ian and the team at Bodyarttattoo Ayr for looking after him and making sure he didn’t change his mind halfway through! 😆

As another incredible week comes to an end, we also want to take a moment to thank every customer, supporter, supplier, friend, and follower who continues to back our (not so wee anymore) family business. 🧡💙

From a van and a dream to a growing team, new premises, and six vehicles on the road — none of it happens without your support.

The tools are down, the diary is packed, and the team are off to enjoy a well-earned weekend.
