175 gsm heavy breather membrane
New render and paint to chimney
Code 5 lead valleys and chimney flashings
2 new velux windows
All new white PVC deepflow gutters
PVC shiplap fitted to rear mansard wall
All slated with a Cupa 400x250 Spanish slate
Index mineral torch on felt applied to skews with lead secret soakers.

Another strip and reslate completed recently in Troon! ✅

All slates stripped off, sarking renailed, 170 gram breathable membrane laid, new cupa 400x250 Spanish slate laid and finished off with clay 75 degree Marley ridge tiles. ✅

Slating on to plywood ❌

This roof was slated on to the wrong timbers and with no vents fitted the roof has spent its life sweating, causing the plywood to rot! 🤦🏼‍♂️

We are in the process of stripping it all off and fitting 22mm sarking boards ready for the breathable membrane and new Spanish slate 👏🏻

Just a wee before and after of a partial reroof complete!
This client is having solar installed and chose to replace the area where the panels are going to make sure the roof will stand the test of time 👏🏻
We will be back when the scaffold is away to connect the rainwater pipe and we will give the chimney a coat of paint when the weather is a bit more suitable 👏🏻

3 Dormer roofs turned into 1 ✅

2 roofs extremely poorly replaced by a previous contractor.

We built a new timber frame between each dormer, stripped the roofs back to the joists, fitted new insulation, laid a new 18mm OSB decking, primed and torch felted with Index 3mm base layer and 4mm mineral cap sheet.
We also replaced the slating behind the dormers with new Spanish slate and fitted all new 12 gauge zinc ridging.
Finished off with new PVC fascia soffit and gutter, removing all rotten timbers.
