Strada Environmental was proud to support our local community this week with a volunteering day around Sanquhar Primary School. Our team rolled up their sleeves to help with litter picking in the surrounding area, as well as assisting with landscaping improvements to the school’s garden-creating a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming space for pupils and staff alike.

At Strada, we recognise that our responsibility to the communities we serve goes far beyond the products and services we provide. Taking part in initiatives like this is an important way for us to give back, support local environments, and make a positive, lasting impact where it matters most.

A huge thank you to Wheatley’s Neighbourhood Environmental Team (NETs) for giving us the opportunity to get involved and for the fantastic work they continue to do within the community.

Strada Environmental Ltd were proud to attend the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) careers event at Ayrshire College - Kilmarnock Campus, connecting with the next generation of talent and sharing insights into careers within our industry.

The event, delivered in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce, provided a fantastic platform to engage directly with students who are exploring their future pathways. Throughout the day, our team had the opportunity to discuss career journeys, apprenticeship routes, and the diverse range of roles available within our organisation.

We were inspired by the enthusiasm, curiosity, and ambition shown by the students. Conversations ranged from understanding day-to-day responsibilities in different roles to the skills and qualifications that employers value most. It was encouraging to see so many young people actively thinking about their futures and asking thoughtful questions about industry opportunities.

Supporting initiatives like DYW reflects our commitment to developing local talent and strengthening connections between education and employment. By working collaboratively with schools, colleges, and partners, we aim to help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world careers.

A huge thank you to the staff and organisers at Ayrshire College for hosting such a well-run and engaging event. We look forward to continuing our involvement and supporting young people across Ayrshire as they take their next steps into the world of work.

🔹 What you’ll be doing:
Managing projects from quotation through to completion, attending site visits, producing method statements, overseeing health & safety, and working closely with clients and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and on budget.

✔️ Local to Ayr (within 15 miles)
✔️ Clean UK driving licence
✔️ Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
✔️ Degree educated

Congratulations to David Tait, who has been a valued member of Strada Environmental for more than 11 years. This year marks an important milestone in his career, as he has now completed 10 full years as an Asbestos Supervisor.

As a thank-you for his loyalty, professionalism, and continued service, we were delighted to present David with a well-deserved award to celebrate this achievement. At Strada, we felt that while a glass plaque marks the moment, a new Tag watch was a far more fitting way to recognise Davy’s dedication.

Asbestos removal specialist Strada Environmental has announced a major expansion of its operations.

The Ayr-based company’s growth comes as demand continues to rise for licensed and compliant asbestos removal services across both commercial and residential sectors.

The expansion includes new regional teams, investment in state-of-the-art decontamination units, and enhanced staff training programs.

“Growth is important, but never at the expense of safety,” said Andy Gray, Managing Director of Strada.

Strada has received the Gold Training Award from the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA).

This award is given only to ARCA members that have met the following criteria:

Undertaken training with ARCA via Supervisors and Operatives (new, refresher or TNA) courses.
Had a minimum of 8 delegates on any of the above courses.
Achieved an average scoring of 92.5% across all delegates trained.

This is a considerable achievement, and we are absolutely delighted. It is a testament to all our staff that have attained a higher-than-average score in training sessions to achieve this award.
