This was a very tricky job. The customer wanted a new stair but re-fit the old ballustrade. Trying to get exact measurements from a stair that is more than 100years old in an old house with not a square/plumb/level floor or wall in sight😂 Not easy!
But it turned out great and the customer was delighted!🥳

I made and fitted the stair but the porcelain tile treads and risers, and the metal ballustrade was done by others.

Well, I finally did it! 🥳
Just about two years since the idea came to my head I finally managed to make and fit the Oak/Epoxy Resin stair for my Sister and her Man!
I’m just glad to see the back of it!!😂

I’m delighted with how it turned out, you don’t really appreciate it until you walk back down it for the first time, slightly strange on the brain😂!!

Curved= MORE work, MORE head scratching,
LESS hair but best of all MORE satisfying end result! I love this type of work.

Some more experimenting with epoxy resin for me. This time I wanted to make something thick to see how clear it would turn out, (there is more to it than just pouring the resin in)!
This is roughly 115mm (4.5inches) square. I added in some fairy lights so it could be used as a decorative lamp. Turned out pretty cool I think😎
