Working across the North West of England over the last 30+ years, we have completed a wide range of land drainage and associated projects for Schools and Colleges, Golf Courses, Pipelines, Farmers and Local Councils amongest others. All aspects of reinstatement and restoration drainage, using specialist plant and experienced personnel to undertake either cross trench reinstatement or full header a

nd easement schemes. Continuous investment in machinery and training has resulted in an extensive fleet of specialist machinery, with a team of experienced operators undertaking work mainly in the North West. We have been on Lancashire County Council’s Schools Sportsfields Improvement Programme over the last 9 years. Working with Golf Courses across North West England, we pride ourselves on the quality of work and service we offer. From installation of primary drainage through to creation of ditches and construction of Tees, Greens and Bridges.

NOTICE OF RETIREMENT SALE

Philip Dixon Contractors Ltd wish to announce that after 45 years in business we have made the hard decision to retire from contracting.
We are in the process of appointing an auctioneer and details will follow in due course.
All our drainage equipment, plant, agricultural and amenity/landscape equipment will be for sale but strictly at auction and nothing prior to the sale. Obviously I am more than happy to provide information on equipment once it is catalogued. This is a genuine retirement sale with a unique opportunity to purchase some excellent well maintained low hours equipment. For a small family business it is an extremely difficult decision to make but a necessary one as Philip and Catherine can remove themselves from the stress and worry and sons Tom and Sam move onto new careers. In terms of myself I will be looking to take on the Lantra training side of the business we set up last year.
