We recently completed this large landscaping project in Danderhall, transforming a featureless sloping garden into a far more attractive and practical outdoor space for our clients to enjoy.

The project involved excavating approximately 60 tonnes of earth and importing 30 tonnes of fresh topsoil to create a more functional garden layout. We constructed raised planting beds, which were finished with a high-quality silicone self-cleaning render before being filled with soil and planted. A variety of trees and shrubs were also installed along the rear fence line to provide additional privacy and year-round interest.

On the lower tier of the garden, we laid a porcelain patio and pathway, alongside 100 square metres of premium turf, creating a large open space for children to play and enjoy. Leading to the upper tier, we built steps using matching porcelain slabs to maintain a consistent finish throughout the garden. An additional patio was installed in the sunniest part of the garden, providing the perfect spot for outdoor seating and relaxation, while a further 30 square metres of turf completed the remaining area.

The result is a beautiful, multi-level garden that combines style, practicality, and usability for the whole family

We completed this sleeper-built play area and Dunster House climbing frame in Currie last week—just in time for our young customer to enjoy it before Storm Dave arrives tomorrow. We think it’s a fantastic addition to any garden for young families: safe, sturdy, and unobtrusive.

Our first major project of the year was completed this week in Uphall, a sizeable patio to relax on when the better weather comes and an area of artificial turf for the grandchildren to burn off some energy on. The existing deck was reduced in size to make a bit more space for running about on. A new section of fence was needed too as the old one was likely to fall down with the next gust of wind!

This one is a cracker! Some old sheds were removed, fence taken down and a 7ft wall was built with a coping and rendered flat, an 8 x 3.5m Newtechwood composite decking was laid, a pergola built and the Dunster House log cabin built on top.
The log cabin will either be used as a study area for Douglas or a chill out area for Joyce, I left them to work that out themselves!
