We approached Stuart Penrose roofing to reslate our old leaky roof that had started to loose slates every year. Stuart provided a very comprehensive survey and itemised list of the work required and a proposed timescale and start date. While he was unable to start on the initial date proposed he kept us informed regularly. Having seen him work and his great attention to detail it is hardly surprising that occasionally a job might run over time. The craftmanship and sympathy according to house age and style required some unique work and beautiful use of copper flashing. This is now a stunning feature of the house. Stuart cleaned and reused many of the old beautiful and difficult to source slates and found matches for any replacements needed. He even laid part of the roof with temporary slates to see if the size and shade would work. We had one mishap with a step being damaged during scaffolding but Stuart researched and tested a number of possible solutions and made an excellent repair which should age well with the existing surroundings. His suggestion for guttering replacement including colour were perfect and we are extremely happy with the result. I cannot recommend Stuart Penrose highly enough. He takes his time to do the job well and to the highest standards.
