HOUSE IN THE VALLEY

A contemporary new home defined by its strong gable forms and the use of a palette of natural materials, situated within a rural valley in Northern Ireland.

We specified a timber that will naturally weather and age beautifully, set against a crisp white render and dark slate stonework.

The design and use of natural materials allows the House to sit comfortably within the surrounding valley landscape.

This, combined with warm lighting, gives the House a softness and a connection to its surroundings.

A contemporary rural home in County Antrim with a strong focus on carbon-neutral design, combining energy conscious principles with a simple, natural architectural palette.

The house features a cantilevered first floor, providing a sheltered carport underneath. The vertical timber cladding highlights the upper level which contrasts with the traditional slate roof and natural stone below.
