Get your portable appliances tested and inspected on a regular basis to comply with NI Health and safety recommendations, the NI Tourist board and insurance company requirements. Don't loose a business due to non compliance.

This was found by us at a customer site, they mentioned a bad smell in a certain area of the kitchen but everything was working fine........

Upon inspecting the kettle, there it was, a bad connection between the fuse and terminal had created so much heat the fuse had melted into the sealed plug.

This exposed live wire on this water pump was found by us during a normal PAT testing renewal at a construction site. The staff had just been using the pump minutes earlier!!!

12 monthly PAT testing is a requirement for the construction industry, builders, shops, AIR B&B's, rental properties and all businesses.

This plug had broken internally and the wires were damaged at a customer premises.........

Only found when the annual PAT testing renewal inspection was carried out by MS Engineering. As you can imagine the potential consequences can be extremely bad if faults such as this are not found.

Get your portable appliances checked every 12 months as good practice. Your insurance company may insist on it and the NI tourism board do.

One of the most dangerous things you could see ☠️😱

This plug with a broken plug cap was found under a kitchen bench in a restaurant, it was out of sight but apparently the cleaner used the socket beside it regularly.
