Grade II listed property in Deddington, Oxfordshire.

Last year we completed a full renovation on this 1840 build.
Having to comply with listed building regulations and work closely with conservation officers meant we had to use a vast amount of reclaimed materials and they insisted that we kept a lot of the original features in the property but adding a modern finish and aiming to bring the house back to life ready for the rental market.

The house had major damp issues, we stripped the walls back to the original stone/brick, a damp membrane was installed on the ground floor and finished in a breathable lime plaster throughout.

The original sash windows were restored to there working days removing any rotten timbers.
A dated door and large window at the rear leading into the living room were taken out, a flat roof made into a pitched roof, finished in blue Welsh slate and a set of timber French doors were added a long with all the rear windows.

12 tonne of earth was removed from the garden, levelled and landscaped.

Thanks to Ryan and Joe for their continued hard work as always but especially on this project.

Simple but effective!

It’s impressive what you can create from just a few sheets of MDF.

A boot room/ dog wash area we created on a new extension in Bloxham. Perfect for returning from those muddy walks 🐶

We also supplied and installed a new utility room, tiling, Luxury Herringbone Flooring along with new skirting boards, architrave and doors throughout.

The customer used their own plumber, electrician and decorator for this project.

Talk about Kitchen Envy!!!

A Howdens kitchen that we supplied and installed in Barford St. Michael late last year.

The Chilcomb range in Reed Green with a Pebble island.
White marble quartz worktops and solid natural oak on the island finished in a clear Osmo oil.

We stripped the old kitchen out, removed the dated floor tiles and pulled down the ceiling.

New plumbing and electrics throughout. This included new modern style radiator repositioned as well as a Quooker hot tap meaning no more kettle!!

New LED downlights and feature hanging lights above the island on dimmers.
Sockets throughout repositioned and fuses hidden as always to leave an organised finish.

Ceilings were re boarded and the entire room plastered.
Floor leveller on top of the original screed and then Luxury Herringbone Flooring supplied and installed in the timeless oak.

When two rooms become one!!

We created a kitchen diner to make a much more modern and family friendly space.

We gutted both rooms, the wall between the existing kitchen and dining room was removed with an RSJ installed to comply with building regulations and structural drawings.

The entire area was re-plastered with new plumbing and electrics.

We installed a Wren navy blue shaker kitchen with white quartz worktops, finished with herringbone metro tiles above.

Reclaimed oak wood flooring laid and new skirting boards throughout. We even managed to create a pantry area under the stairs and hung a new oak door to keep up with the high end finish.

All organised and project managed by us, making things as stress free as possible for the clients.

Belated happy new year to you all.

The start of 2023 is already looking very busy for us with exciting new projects coming up.

Thank you to all of our customers/ clients for the continued support and being so appreciative of our hard work, it really does make the job extremely rewarding and worth while.

So far we have had a full renovation of a grade II listed property commence. We also have various kitchens, a large roof, a garage conversion and several types of second fix work forthcoming.
We will look forward to sharing it all with you.

Last month we converted this lean to extension on the rear of a property in Banbury.
It was too cold to sit in, the corrugated roof was leaking making the room extremely damp and non-functional.

The roof was stripped off, brickwork adapted, RSJ installed ready for a set of 6 metre anthracite bi-fold doors.

We cut a new timber roof adding 4 velux windows to allow plenty of daylight. With the roof being 15° one side and 25° the other side we had an offset hip rafter.

This is finished with a lightweight Britmet lite slate tile. New facia and guttering to match.
The inside now to be insulated before Christmas and works to continue along with the decking next on the to do list.

Big thanks to Shirestone Windows for an excellent job as always on fitting and supplying the bi-fold doors.

It’s been a busy few months for us with lots of different projects going on.

We wanted to show you this kitchen turnaround that we completed in Adderbury last month.

The customer supplied the wren kitchen in a fossil grey classic shaker range then finished with the ultra white quartz tops.

Ditra matting laid then 33m2 of wood effect porcelain tiles installed, which help from Simon at Wigwam Kitchens & Bathrooms, came in to give us a big push.

New radiators and plumbing completed by Wise Solutions Heating & Plumbing

The baby pink honeycomb tile splash back was our final job and it’s been very effective.

Here’s a small hand cut roof we completed for a local builder. The old asbestos roof was stripped before hand and this was done to kick start a garage conversion being made into a garden room.

With the original gables staying, we had to do something a little different with the reversed birds mouths, collar ties added to comply with building regulations.

Looking forward to seeing this one when completed.

Here’s some photos of a 2nd fix we did on a cottage in Deddington.

With the original doors going back on in the cottage, the latch and brace doors worked really well in the new barn conversion to keep the cottage finish.

The curvy walls we had to improvise but definitely adds to the character.
Tim the decorator also working his magic as always.
