This week Lucas managed to to set a ladder up on his own - small steps and yes he has been to college for a couple of years already so you get my point. The Government should be paying small companies to train our future tradesman hence why no one can ever find a reliable and trustworthy tradesman and this will get worse as we move away from fossil fuels. At present an apprentice can receive 100% funding of the college fees upto the age of 21 ( this changes) this covers college attendance for 1 day a week but they will not train an apprentice to set a ladder up or fit a rawl plug. We give them life skills for life. This Labour government has increased the minimum wage twice now and it makes it harder to pay someone to spend 10 minutes to learn how to do something everyday.
