Update to the lack of board band and landline situation i have.
On 21st Aug a request was put in to transfer my board band and line without my consent, by close of business on 21st /early on 22nd Aug this request had been completed. I was told by BT on 22nd Aug it had been cancelled and all would be fine on Monday. IT WASN'T fine!
24th Aug a new order placed to fix the problem, then came the early termination of contract letter £370!
27th Aug managed to get early termination charges voided, then told the replacement order put in on the 24th had been cancelled. Only yesterday i was told why it was cancelled which is because theres no capcity/spare ports left at the local exchange to reconnect me.
Today managed to get in contact with BT aftersales who supposed to have renewed the new line order and escalated it with openreach so they MAKE room at the exchange (i hope they pull the plug on the A hole thats caused this mess but i bet they wont)
The orginal order was expected to take 2 weeks so i'm expecting to be without board band or landline phone for at least another 2 weeks from today.🤔
In the mean time BT aftersales has said to go buy a mobile router and data sim card, keep the reciepts and BT will pay for it and what ever data i use. Thats great if i can pick up a good enough 4g signal but i'm still without my landline🫣 hopefully will work better than teathering my phone to laptop which cant multi task phone calls and providing a weak 4g to laptop at same time.
Many thanks to who ever pulled this dirty trick to free up a socket in the local exchange by stealing my line and caused all this hassle. The providers even have a name for it and its called "slamming".
I highly doubt BT will compensate me for loss of business🙄
Please dont bother ringing my landline, call mobile and if i dont answer send a TEXT, EMAIL or WhatsApp please do not leave voice messages either takes too long shifting through them all the time. Everything's better in writing even if its electronic 😂
