The only downside to fitting air conditioning downstairs? You soon realise how much you’re missing it upstairs… 😅

A couple of months after completing their original installation, we were invited back to add air conditioning to two upstairs bedrooms.

Due to the specific design requirements of the upstairs installation, the compact Midea 4.1kW twin split system was the perfect solution, providing two independently controlled indoor units powered by one outdoor unit.

Two more rooms ready for comfortable nights, whatever the British weather decides to do. ❄️☀️

⚠️ The small details matter…

This boiler had to be classified as Immediately Dangerous after we discovered the CO alarm had been screwed directly into the boiler casing, compromising its integrity.

The appliance was made safe and replaced today with a new Glow-worm boiler, complete with a 10 year warranty. ✅

CO alarms save lives… but please don’t screw them to the boiler!

❄️ Two rooms, comfort all year round 🔥

We recently installed two Midea Solstice air conditioning systems at this property:

✅ 5kW white Solstice in the kitchen
✅ 3.5kW black Solstice in the bedroom

The customer now has powerful cooling, energy efficient heating, quiet operation and WiFi control in both rooms.

Outside, all pipework was carefully routed and enclosed in black trunking for a clean and tidy finish.

Keeping another home comfortable all year round. ❄️☀️

This Midea unit was installed on the landing. Whilst we generally recommend fitting a unit in the room you want to heat or cool, a landing installation can work really well in the right property and be a great solution for some homeowners.

As always, every installation is tailored to the customer’s home and requirements.

❄️ Good installations aren’t just about fitting the equipment. They’re about finding the best solution for your home.

The customer originally wanted the pipework run in trunking around the garden wall before reaching the outdoor unit.

After surveying the property, we suggested an alternative by coring through the garden wall and routing the pipework externally instead. This eliminated the need for visible trunking around the patio, resulting in a much cleaner and more discreet finish.

It’s often these small design decisions that make the biggest difference to the finished result👌
