New Project - The Planning Application for a replacement family home nestled at the foot of Morven in rural Aberdeenshire has now been submitted.

The project centres on the sensitive replacement of a derelict early 19th century granite farmhouse, salvaging and reusing the original stone within the entrance gable of the new dwelling and retaining the south gable. The new home sits largely within the original farmhouse footprint, ensuring the memory and agricultural heritage of the site remains rooted in the landscape.

The proposed dwelling takes the form of two distinct barn-inspired volumes clad in terracotta red and dark grey corrugated steel, a direct and affectionate nod to the farm buildings that surround and define this beautiful corner of Aberdeenshire.

Designed with sustainability at its core and orientated to frame dramatic views toward the rounded summit of Morven, this is a home with deep roots in its landscape and a bright future for the young family who hope to call it home.
