Booshed it! Even the rain didn’t stop me, built the rest up in the garage, nearly no rain, took it up to the car, to build up the auxiliary’s and gearbox, and oh my days did it rain!!! 🙈🙈

She’s all built up, minus the alt and starter, (still at Ribblesdale)

She’s ready to connect up, on Friday hopefully 🙏

Off doing electrical/building work tomorrow, least I’ll be dry 🤣🤣🤣

Think someone was holding me off the floor today! 🙈
Spent the day spinning on the spot trying to get stuff done, and Iv managed to do everything other then what the days plan was 🤷‍♂️

Brand New Crankshaft,
Brand New Conrods
Brand New Pistons
Managed to pop the pistons in, managed to break a lower piston ring 🙈🤦‍♂️ so had to order another, Lymm pulled it back round with a 2hour delivery 👌👌

Pistons in, crankshaft in, wind gate in, oil pump and chain in.

Sump on next, and I can spin it over and start putting the head and cams on.

Tried my best, but I do swear once! 😬😬

£7200 chain and turbo at the specialist, gets you 96 miles up the road, in your £10.5k car, then £5k contribution off the warranty, still leaves £2200 to pay, customers £14.7k into the car, and it’s DEAD!!

Specialist 👌👌👌👌👌👌

I will not do a timing chain with out taking the engine out, and taking the sump and oil pump off, and expose 1-2 bearings….. if they’re showing signs of damage, it’s an extra £200 on the job, 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

But no!

The specialist, can do the job in situ 👌👌👌👌👌

If you want a cheap job, don’t then moan about the car being terrible, it’s not the cars fault……

Absolutely raving, for the customer hear, loosing the thick end of £13,000 in less then a year! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Questioning life! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Just “pop in” and it’s a walk in the park, but NO!
Rebuilt the entire engine, yet the clutch doesn’t want to talk to the gearbox anymore.

Power cut?
No problem, flick the change over switch, and turn the dumb inverters off outside, as we’ll make too
Much otherwise 👀🙈 and cause a spike 😬 which is probably why it’s blown the grid today, with everyone’s solar on feed in… giving the grid too much power 👀👀👀👀👀

Get the kettle on!!! 👌👌
Definitely need those fridges and freezers on today!!!

Transit Ecoblue bank holiday, got to keep the wife happy!
Lovely petrol bath, to stay cool 👀👀🤣🤣

I dare say the Crankshaft, and injectors are exactly how I left them on Friday, people having holidays 🤷‍♂️🤣🤣.

Took the disco engine out, split and prepped the engine for the garage, it’s in a queue!

Mother in laws sh**uns, out on the road too, that needs the injectors doing!
Actually running out of space! 👀👀👀👀

Fixed an extension in the cool garage.

Received pictures, of the lupins I’d commented on last month, on a job, there out on full colour now 😍😍😍😍

My grandad ALWAYS had them 😊😊😊😊
Let’s see if I can get them to germinate for next year 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Pistons and conrods, delivered and made up for the Jaguar XE Ingenium engine,
Cleaned a little, and thought, I’d move onto the disco engine bed,
Utter pain in the bum, especially given it’s been to a “specialist” it’s an abortion of missing bolts, siezed in bolts, (blatantly never undone by the “specialists”)
Best one was the invoice of £7200 for a chain, turbo and DPF clean!
Yet nobody checked the sump, or the bearings 👌👌
And for £7200 they don’t even take the engine out!
As per the 1/2 a job, Bobs bought it, and is doing a proper job on the floor.

Then we had a phonecall to say the works van was making noises 🙈🙈
Off I went down the coast road expecting it to be siezed!
She had loads of oil……
Yeah! It’s tapping the bottom end. 🥲
Probably spun a shell. 👌👌

Parked her up and then took two car loads of deliverys out of the van and went on deliverys for DINOs.

Dragged back down the coast road by the LR and she’s in the yard, tea wasn’t ready so ripped the front end off plus plumbing 💪💪

Kugas dead too!
Some where along the line Adblue has gotten into the diesel and has screwed all four injectors! Probably done the pump too, and never mind the tank and all the lines! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

So they’ll be a full MK1 kuga being broken soon 🙈
