Get ready for five fantastic days of live Rhythm & Blues this August Bank Holiday!

From Thursday 27th August to Monday 31st August 2026, we’re bringing an incredible line-up of talented blues artists to Colne & Nelson Rugby Club, with music from afternoon through to late evening.

🍺 Enjoy a great selection of hand-pulled cask beers, a fully stocked bar, and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the festival.

Whether you’ve supported our events for years or you’re joining us for the very first time, we can’t wait to welcome old faces and new for an unforgettable weekend of live music, great beer and great company.

The Nathan Select is made up of either friends and players who all have played alongside Nathan and The Royal Marines team is made up of lads who have all served alongside Nathan!

This is more than just a rugby match—it’s a celebration of legacy, community, and heart. Expect big hits, big passion, and even bigger purpose.

Another exciting project finished this week, installation of a Vaillant Heat pump over in Preston.

Separate consumer unit installed for the heat pump and the control, all cables and wires run externally as requested by the customer to minimise any disruption to the property.

More and more people are looking to move away from the reliance on fossil fuels, with Heat pumps and Solar PV systems complimenting each other to reduce rising energy costs.

Hector at Prometheus Energy is one of the best about on these type of installs, with all heat loss calculations done to ensure the most energy efficient systems are installed and all registered via MCS.

1st EV Charger of the year completed.

Installed a 3 way consumer unit with surge protection (SPD) and an RCBO for the new circuit supplying an EVEC 7.4kW Untherered Charging Unit. The client mainly charges their car at their work place, so this was to top up during off peak hours.

All set up, DNO notification (Including free fuse upgrade via Northern Power) & certification for the new consumer unit and EV charger

Consumer unit upgrade day!

I did an EICR that was due on a rental property for a land lord which highlight a number of issues. As you can see from the picture the installation has been added to over time with poor workmanship and a lack of understanding of the regulations.

Elucain 10 way board with SPD and RCBO's for each circuit, splitting the boiler on to its own circuit and identifying poorly labeled circuits. 100A double pole isolation added before the board.

Another happy customer with more properties to look after later on in the year.
