🚧 Retaining Wall Project | Barnoldswick, Lancashire 🚧

Another challenging project completed by E-Frank Groundworks & Civil Engineering in Barnoldswick, Lancashire.

This project involved the complete excavation and preparation of a sloping site, followed by the construction of a new blockwork retaining wall.

The works included:

• Site clearance and excavation
• Removal of existing structures and unsuitable material
• Formation of new concrete foundations
• Construction of reinforced blockwork retaining walls
• Waterproofing to the retaining wall
• Installation of drainage and stone backfill
• Geotextile membrane installation
• Regrading and preparation of the surrounding ground
• Construction of new steps and access areas

A challenging site with restricted access and significant changes in levels, but another project successfully delivered from excavation through to completion. 💪

Another project progressing well for the team in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester!

Our team have been busy carrying out a range of groundworks and civil engineering works, including:
