We’ve had a busy and exciting few days at the BBA testing centre, installing the Johnstone’s Trade Stormshield High-Performance Silicone Render systems ready for their rigorous testing! 🏗️💪

When you’re applying an External Wall Insulation (EWI) or render system, you want to know it’s going to stand the test of time, weather, and wear. That’s exactly why systems like Johnstone’s Stormshield go through this process. Stormshield is an extremely tough, durable, thin-coat render developed using polymer-modified technology to offer exceptionally long-lasting exterior weather protection, UV resistance, and flexibility.

But what exactly does “ready to be BBA tested” mean?

The British Board of Agrément (BBA) is the UK’s leading independent certification body for construction products and systems. When a product or system holds BBA certification, it means it has been independently and rigorously assessed for:

We recently removed the protective coverings from these windows, leaving behind a crisp, clean finish that really completes the look. It is always extremely satisfying to watch everything come together after the hard work is done.
