It’s a team effort on this new build project today. James is continuing work in the plant room, Ross is connecting the hot and cold supplies for the bath first fix, and Ben is carrying out the shower first fix in the en suite.

Work in progress! The installation of a brand new plant room for a new build property is complex, precise work. Thankfully our director, James is extremely skilled and experienced in such tasks!

Here is a short clip of a plant room he is working on! This build also includes solar PV, battery storage, air conditioning units, underfloor heating and an air source heat pump installation. We will share the finished work as soon as possible! Stay tuned for updates!

This is so satisfying to watch! 👀Here James and Ben are installing a traditional underfloor heating system in a bedroom, laid over Celotex insulation using a tracking system. Once the pipework is down, additional support staples are added using a staple gun.

For this installation, the manufacturer specified 150mm pipe centre spacing to achieve the correct wattage per square metre for the room

Prep work for the underfloor heating is underway! The team has been meticulously installing the tracking system, ready for the pipework to be laid next week. This property will have underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, with a traditional radiator circuit on the second floor. Each ground floor room will have its own thermostat, allowing for individual temperature control.

James
Over 20 years in plumbing & heating, James is our Gas Safe engineer and FGAS certified for air conditioning. He also specialises in renewables, including air source heat pumps and solar PV.

When he’s not working, he’s out exploring Devon with his two daughters, off-roading, or walking his new puppy along the coast 🐾

Ross
With 20+ years’ experience, Ross specialises in wet rooms and accessible bathrooms, along with a strong background in building and tiling. He now focuses on renewables, particularly PV systems and underfloor heating.

Outside of work, Ross enjoys family time with his partner and two daughters.
