Recently we were asked to attend this farm which had been suffering with the main trip operating.😕 Chris and Tom went and quickly diagnosed a fault in the cow shed 🐄 where water had got into one of the light fittings. 🙈This was quickly repaired.😀

This shed was wired originally in probably the 1970's in Mineral Insulated (Pyro) cable. 🙂Whoever did it, made a good job of it, and it is great to still see it in service today.

The customer was happy for us then to bring the installation up to date by installing a new consumer unit with surge protection and RCBO's. This means if there is a fault in the future, they won't loose the whole shed, and they won't have to walk back to the farm house to turn it back on again!😁

After a thorough test and checking the insulation resistance, Chris and Tom did a great job of fitting a new consumer unit without disturbing the original MI glands and pots.😎💪

Throw back to 2019 when one of our customers had a PLC (computer) which controls the plant go bang 💥. The program was un-retrievable and so we had to very quickly come up with a solution. We did the wiring of this control panel back to another control room where there was an existing PLC, whilst the software guys re-programmed the inputs and outputs. We then took out all the redundant mess of wiring and rewired to the necessary controls. 😃

We had inherited a big mess 🫣, and it was only a matter of time before it would need sorting out, we were just forced into this time! 2 days later we were all back and running. 💪

We recently went to a farm which was experiencing tripping of circuits within the outbuildings. ⚡ We very quickly established that some of these issues could be something to do with it! 😬🤫
Needless to say we disconnected the supplies as luckily the buildings are due to be replaced in the not too distant future and the farmer didn't need them connected. We will rewire the new buildings in the future.
