Just an update regarding our last post.
The company responsible for this work eventually came forward and admitted liability and will be refunding the home owner in full. We are going to put this right now so a good outcome at the end. Thank you to everyone who shared this.

We have been called to look at this property on the rear of parade street. The owner of the property informed me that he recently paid a local roofing firm several hundred pounds for some slating work, new guttering and pointing. On my inspection on what they’ve done I can honestly say it’s a complete mess and substandard. In 30 years of trading it’s one of the poorest I’ve seen. There is missing slates and pointing. The guttering is hanging off due to only two gutter clips being fitted which all is very poor work. I’m putting this out today and I urge the roofer who did this mess to go back and put the work right as it’s unfair for the homeowner to have to pay us to sort there mess out. At this stage I am unsure who carried the work out but when I find out I will be updating this post and i’m sure they will know there own work when they see it. Do the right thing or refund the money.
Always make sure you get a contractor that knows what they are doing and are time served. Us as a company are see more and more of this on a regular basis and we urge homeowners to be more vigilant so this does not happen to you.
We will make sure this gets this sorted out regardless of the outcome.

We attended this fire-damaged property in Portland Walk for Westmorland and Furness Council. We have removed damaged, loose slates from the roof and gutter edge that posed a health and safety risk to the public. We hope the businesses that were involved get back to business as soon as possible.

Once again WP Roofing are proud to deliver this premium grade new roof installation with natural diminishing slate fitted to this beautiful property, as you will see from the photos this one would have not been for the faint hearted as there was lots of rotten timber work to be replaced, new insulation was fitted to give the property a better thermal rating. Thank you to barrow building control for there help and overseeing this project and signing the work off on completion. Thank you to our team for once again delivering an outstanding job, well done lads on to the next one.

Full external renovation carried out to HBP buildings park road barrow consisting of all rotten metal work removed and replaced,high-pressure cleaned removing all old flaking, paint and grease. Being fully Rust-Oleum approved contractors we then coated the buildings with one of their rubber coating systems one of the highest coastal protection systems on the market. Applying two coats and finishing in a lovely two tone combination with white roofs and grey sides which really makes this building stand out and gives it a modern appearance. Well done to the WP team and once again delivering a high quality service and finish.
