Our first project: Boosh Design
I bought an old Mercedes bus 9 months ago. It was already kitted out as a camper (done by a self proclaimed hippy) in wales. I asked a friend who was out of work if he could help with on transforming the space so I could get her out to festivals this coming summer.
He had spare time on his hands after leaving the bar he had been working at so said he would be happy to help.
Within a few weeks our ideas had created a new environment .. an old stinking bus was now welcoming space to spend winter evenings. After seeing my friends skills first hand, I knew this had to be the first project of many.
So we got a unit, got a website and some business cards and hey presto: Boosh Design was born.
This conversion was quick and cheap. We reused as much material from the original conversion as possible and sourced local sustainable timber.
I wanted a pull out bed with under storage for space saving.
The sofas are built on wooden plinths so they can be removed for extra space or put outside for outdoor chilling in summer.
The desk comes out; perfectly sized for decks for when we want to get the party started.
There’s even an extra desk/pull out for an extra long bed and somewhere to pop your cuppa when you’re sat in front of the fire.
We are looking to do all kinds of joinery and carpentry work around Barrow and the South Lakes. Whether it be bespoke custom made furniture; designed on CAD and made to last.. or just a garden gate made from old pallets.
The bus isn’t complete but I wanted to share the project that birthed our new company.
Nathan.
