The following post is to help YOU & ME & the amazing team who help out on the day!
We can’t wait to welcome you back to the farm, but there are a few things I just need to mention:
I have no idea how busy it is going to be on Saturday so this is just a little post to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time, stays safe & knows where to pick up their beef from!
🅿️ PARKING.
Parking is in the main farm yard - There will be helpers with signs to help you park. If the yard gets full, parking will be on the grass verge outside the farm. Please take care if on the verge as the wet weather has made things rather soggy! PLEASE AVOID PARKING on the grass verge outside Premier Equine/Uplands Lodge. I will be popping traffic cones out on their side of the verge so please look out for these and avoid. 🚫
🕙 OPENING TIME
We open at 10AM. Please do NOT arrive BEFORE this time. Thank you 🙏🏻
🥩 BEEF 🥩
There are 2 queues for beef this year. There is a PRE ORDER QUEUE and an ON THE DAY QUEUE. If you have pre ordered beef, pork, chicken etc, please join the pre order queue. If you are just shopping on the day, please join the on the day queue. Please be patient with us as there are a huge number of orders. We will be adding all the pre orders up on Friday so we can keep the queue moving 😊 CASH is preferred but we do have a card machine. Sadly I won’t have time on Friday to message every single customer with their total.
🚜 BALES & MACHINES 🚜
There will be bales out in the yard to seperate the parking from the pedestrian areas. Please DO NOT let your children run along the bales. They are used as a barrier, not for climbing 🙏🏻 You may sit on them when eating/drinking 😊
There shouldn’t be any machinery out in the yard but please just remember, we are a working farm. Please don’t let children venture off. Jango is NOT friendly, and cows can also be dangerous. Please please supervise your children 😊
🐮 COW SHED TOUR 🐮
These are very popular & we love you to see the cattle.
Now we absolutely adore our girls (and boys) so please respect them by keeping your voices low & please don’t touch them as it’s only Percy who really enjoys a good fuss.
Ask Farmer Liam as many questions as you like 😊
✨ LOCAL STALLS ✨
In the workshop you will find a wonderful selection of local stalls & hidden at the back is David Booth Photography - please do go have a festive walk around and support these amazing local businesses 🙌🏻
🍕 MARCO’S PIZZA 🍕
Marco will be serving pizza’s from 10:30ish until 3ish or he sells out, so don’t worry if you haven’t had time for breakfast!
🗑️ SMOKING | LITTER 🚬
We are a NON SMOKING site & there will be bins around the farm for litter 😊
⛑️ FIRST AID ⛑️
Should you need a plaster 🩹 come and find Farmer Amie at the beef stall, and I’ll have my trusty first aid kit!
🎟️ RAFFLE TICKETS 🎟️
Raffle tickets are available from the beef stall. Cash only & first come first serve - be quick.. limited books remaining!
I think I have covered everything 🤔 and I apologise if I sound like a woman waving a big stick BUT this is our home/business, we want you to enjoy yourself but we also want to keep you safe.
I am also going to apologise in advance if I get an order muddled or wrong. I am only human, a busy human at that; juggling December, a business, 2 kids, 3 including my husband. I have done my absolute best and hope I haven’t missed anyone 🙏🏻
