We compile a comprehensive report with pictures for each item. You can then take this back to your contractor and ask that they are all sorted out. WHAT WE DO
When you buy a new property, you may walk in and see a few unfinished items or something that hasn’t been done satifactorily. We also check that everything conforms to current Building Regulations. We will go round each room and the exterio
r of your home with a fine toothed comb looking for these snags. With our 45 plus combined years of working in construction, we are able to spot a lot of things that you may not notice. We take photographs and a detailed description of the problem and create a report. This can then be taken back to the contractor with a request for them to sort out the snags. We are normally on site between 2 and 6 hours depending on the size of the property. We then take away the information and compile a comprehensive report, including the photographs and description of the snag. This is emailed to you, usually within 24 hours. If you require a hard copy of the report, this can be sent via first class post. WHEN DO WE ATTEND? It is best if we can get access to the property before you actually move in. Some contractors may not allow us access, but usually it’s not a problem. This gives the contractors time to remedy the snags before you actually move in and is less disruptive for you. If the contractor won’t allow us access then we can carry out the survey after you have the keys or have moved in. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU. If you have a digital copy of your house plans, we can incorporate these into the report with a location for each snag. Don’t worry if you don’t have these to hand as we can just use a description for the location. Access to the property
PAYMENT TERMS
We ask for a 20% deposit to confirm the appopintment and we enclose the final invoice in with the report. This is payable within 7 days from receipt.
