What Survived the Storm, the Mud… and Upside-Down Gazebos?
If you were with us this weekend, you already know the answer: YOU did.
And honestly… we’re still a bit speechless.
Saturday came in — a yellow rain warning, sideways rain, the full drama.
Did it stop our tree hunters? Not a chance. You lot stomped through puddles like festive warriors.
Then the wind hit overnight.
Three gazebos decided they’d had enough — one even flipped completely upside down like it was auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.
So what did we do?
We rolled up our sleeves, dragged the Goxhill Pop-Up-Pub and Alice in Bloom into the barn, and carried on.
Because that’s how we do things round here. 🎄💪
And then came Sunday — sunshine, glittering trees, and the kind of crowds we only dream of.
A record-breaking day.
You arrived… and kept arriving…
Our car park was full, and at times it felt like Glastonbury Meets Christmas — one-in-one-out, muddy boots, big smiles, zero grumbles.
To every single person who waited patiently, splashed through the puddles, queued, laughed, and kept the festive spirit alive:
THANK YOU.
You were absolutely fantastic.
And to our team — our army of friends who drag themselves out here year after year:
You legends were soaked, cold, covered in mud up to your ankles, and somehow still smiling.
We simply couldn’t do this without you.
Santa and his elves?
Outstanding.
Magical.
Total crowd-pleasers as always — the kids absolutely adored them.
And then… :
✨ The Goxhill Singers.
Their carols on Saturday drifted across the field like something out of a Christmas film — honestly, it stopped us in our tracks.
There’s something about live carols among the trees that hits you right in the festive feels. Beautiful!
Huge thanks also to:
🍺 Goxhill Pop-Up-Pub
🍔 Brads food truck
You kept everyone warm, fed, and happy in true village-hero style.
And finally… a genuine heartfelt apology.
We were so sad to cancel the Walking with Alpacas Lincolnshire Rescue today — the field flooding meant it just wasn’t safe for them (or anyone).
We know how excited people were to see them, and we’ll make it up to you, promise. ❤️
This weekend was wild, messy, magical, exhausting, hilarious and heartwarming all at once — in other words:
