A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of working alongside our good friend Will on a local tree job, tackling a row of established conifers as well as the removal of a cherry tree.

Will and I have known each other for over 30 years, so it was brilliant to have the opportunity to combine our experience and work together professionally after all these years.

Outside of tree work, Will is also a beekeeper and sheep shearer — a proper countryman with an impressive range of skills. His honey deserves a special mention too; without exaggeration, it’s the best honey I’ve ever had. 🍯🐝

WE’RE NOW FULLY BOOKED FOR 2026!

We’re incredibly pleased to announce that Rendalls Garden & Landscape is now fully booked for the remainder of 2026.

A huge thank you to all of our customers, both new and returning, for keeping us so busy and continuing to trust us with your gardens and landscaping projects.

Our diary is now open for 2027, with new landscaping and gardening projects being booked from mid-March onwards.

If you’re considering transforming your garden next spring or summer, we’d strongly recommend getting in touch early to secure a space in the diary.

Another patio completed, and you can really see why Autumn Brown remains such a popular choice.

The natural mix of warm browns, greys and earthy tones gives every patio its own character — and when the stone is wet, those colours really come alive.

This one was fully prepared before laying the sandstone on a full mortar bed, finished with contrasting joints for a clean, traditional look.

A relatively small area, but a massive improvement to the garden and a great usable space for the customer.

We now have very limited availability remaining for 2026 and are taking bookings for larger landscaping projects from mid-March 2027

We’ve recently finished this full garden makeover, creating a clean, modern and practical outdoor space for our customer.

The project included a new porcelain patio and pathways, finished with contrasting edging, alongside a freshly laid lawn to give the garden a softer, natural feel.

We’ve worked around the established tree, retaining it as a feature within the garden and finishing the surrounding area with decorative stone and natural rock edging.

A simple, low-maintenance design that completely refreshes the space and gives the customer a garden they can enjoy for years to come.

Another one finished and ready to enjoy.

Another bespoke landscaping project successfully completed by the Rendalls team.

This garden has been carefully reimagined to create a clean, contemporary outdoor space that balances practicality with timeless design. The project included the construction of handcrafted raised sleeper planters, a custom-built timber deck with integrated steps, decorative gravel features, and the preparation of new planting areas to soften the finished landscape.

Every element has been built with longevity, precision and attention to detail, ensuring the finished garden is as durable as it is visually striking.

What a week! The temperatures have been relentless, but that hasn’t stopped the team from getting the job done.

Our landscaping team transformed an unused corner of a garden into this lovely little sandstone patio, creating a practical space for the customer to enjoy while keeping the beautiful tree as the centrepiece.

Meanwhile, our maintenance team have been flat out tackling large conifer reductions, heavy garden cut-backs and keeping our regular customers’ gardens looking their best, all while working through some of the hottest days of the year.

A huge thank you to all the boys. I’m incredibly proud of the effort they’ve put in this week. They’ve stayed professional, looked after each other, kept the water flowing, and most importantly, continued delivering the high standard of work that Rendall’s Garden & Landscape is known for. 💚

The final photo is a little personal one. We finally got around to giving my mum her belated Mother’s Day gift – a small gate to make some steep steps safer, a good tidy of the borders, and a fresh row of lavender to brighten the garden. Sometimes the jobs closest to home are the most rewarding.

What a difference a day makes!

This garden had been left untouched for quite some time, with waist-high grass, dense vegetation and overgrown areas making it almost impossible to see the true size and potential of the space.

Our team carried out a full garden clearance, cutting back the overgrowth, strimming the entire site, clearing vegetation and restoring definition to the garden once again. The result is a clean, usable outdoor space that the homeowner can now enjoy and build upon.

A lovely Indian sandstone patio completed by the team this week.

The customer handled the ground preparation and pointing themselves, and we came in to professionally lay the sandstone and bring the project together.

The natural tones in the stone work beautifully in the space and will make a huge difference heading into the summer months.

Always nice working alongside customers who want to get involved in their own projects while still making sure the finished installation is completed properly and built to last.

Not all transformations start with what you can see… some start underground.

This one was a full land drainage install — and it was no small task. From excavation and trenching, to installing drainage runs, backfilling, levelling and finishing with a fresh lawn… this job took serious graft from start to finish.

The difference? A garden that can now actually be used — no more waterlogging, no more boggy patches, just a clean, level space ready to enjoy all year round.

Completed in just 4 days by the team, but backed by years of experience in getting the groundwork right. Because if the drainage isn’t done properly… nothing above it will last.

Tidy hedge, tidy finish.

A recent conifer reduction and trim to bring this boundary back under control and keep everything looking sharp along the pathway. Regular maintenance like this not only keeps things looking neat, but also prevents hedges from getting too leggy and difficult to manage later on.

We always take care when working this time of year — no hard cuts during nesting season, and every hedge is fully inspected before any work is carried out. It’s about doing the job properly, not just quickly.
