In all my years in the trade, I have never had a customer write a poem for us ☺️ thank you so much Pam what a thoughtful thing to do! Its been an absolute pleasure - pictures will soon follow 🫶
Roses Pamtry.
Well the day had finally come around,
Roses Pamtry had begun,
My workmen turned up bang at 8,
And soon they were having fun!
Ben Jones my builder was so nice,
And kinda handsome to,
With cheeky smile upon his face,
He knew just what to do.
Out came his hammer, and then his drill,
And with spanner in his hand,
He brought the men I needed here,
They were quite the happy band!
The noise was deafening as they soon,
Pulled down my kitchen wall,
The dust it gathered on everything,
I could see it as it would fall.
A skip was standing oh so big,
Outside my pearly white front door,
My pure white kitchen of 20 years,
Had been ripped out and is no more.
I shed a tear as I said goodbye,
But my tears won’t last for long,
Because my new pink kitchen lay in wait,
With a bells and whistles song.
It’s going to take a while Ben said,
So back then I had retreated,
Because I’m no match for all these men,
My feminism was defeated.
A rolled steel joist was put in place,
It was heavy on Bens back,
But soon he got on with another job,
But flashed his builders crack!
I’ve decided rules must be put in place,
For I once had quite a shock…
I went to use my private loo,
And saw a workman’s c**k!
There he stood all 6ft tall,
With horror in his eyes,
Because he’d seen me turn bright red,
On finding my surprise!
I shot back out not knowing what
To do in this situation,
So I decided to cough my poor guts up,
And retreat to my accommodation!
At once I thought that I’d just hide,
My blushes they were burning,
I’ll knock next time to let them know,
When Pammie is returning.
Now I’m not used to having men around,
I’ve forgotten the things they do,
So for me it’s been a learning curve,
Especially with my loo!
With drills and hammers they went to work,
They knocked two rooms into one,
And pretty soon my kitchen hub,
Was born, because of mum.
To Ben Jones My builder,
I cannot say just what he’s built for me,
My dream come true , my gorgeous dream,
My pink palace by the sea.
As builders, go he is the best
His quality is sublime,
So when I want to have more done,
It is Ben I’ll call next time.
So Thankyou Ben, and all your guys,
Plasterers, painters, and electricians,
Plumbers, brickies, and so many more,
I give you all, full recognition.
Now, With pink the order of the day,
I set out to buy all new,
A bright pink kettle with a bright pink lid,
The pink list grew and grew.
Before I knew it and with all things bought,
I called upon my friends,
To help me finish the mammoth task,
Of pinkifying to life’s ends.
Pink microwave and pink toaster bought,
Pink cutlery all in place,
Pink mugs and cups and plates as well,
I’ve a pink smile upon my face!
I’m going to miss Ben and his crew,
I’m going to miss the banter shared,
So I’ll simply say, Ben Thankyou.
I am grateful that you cared.
You took your time to do the job,
That mum and I had planned,
The quality of your work stands out,
It shows a craftsman’s hand.
My neon sign upon the wall,
Is lit for all to see,
So welcome one and all today,
To my very own Roses Pamtry .
