Happy Friday everyone! Hope you’ve all had a fabulous week. ☀️

Yesterday at Kimmeridge, we visited the amazing The Etches Collection Museum of Jurassic Marine Life – one of the best places to see dinosaur 🦕 and prehistoric marine fossils found along the Dorset coast. It’s definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in dinosaurs and fossils!

Today we begin our journey home 🏠 after a fantastic week away. We’ve explored Dorset, Devon and Somerset during our travels and made some wonderful memories along the way.

Tonight we’re staying in Royal Leamington Spa before completing the final leg of our journey home on Saturday.

Happy Thursday everyone! Hope you’re having a great week so far. 😊

I got our schedule mixed up yesterday! We spent the morning locally visiting a museum, then headed off to Bournemouth for the afternoon and evening.

On our journey back to the lodge, we drove through some really dense fog 🌫️. You could barely see anything around you — it was like a scene from a scary movie! 👻

Today we’re heading to Kimmeridge to explore the area and visit another museum. Looking forward to seeing what we discover.

Happy Wednesday everyone 😊

We had another fabulous day yesterday!

We took a trip on the Seaton Tramway and stopped off at the wetlands, where my daughter enjoyed spending some time doing wildlife photography. 📸🦆

Today we’re heading further along the coast to Kimmeridge, and we’re looking forward to another day of beautiful scenery and exploring. 🌊☀️

We had a fantastic day at Longleat yesterday and saw so many amazing animals. It’s always such a wonderful place to visit! 🦁🦒🐘

The weather was gorgeous again too ☀️

Today we’re not travelling too far and will be exploring another local town before continuing our holiday adventures.

I couldn’t get online yesterday as we had no signal at all on the seafront.

There was a thunderstorm ⛈️ overnight, but hopefully the weather will be nice again today as we’re heading to Longleat for the day. I’m really looking forward to it!

Happy Saturday everyone! ☀️

Well, the sun came out yesterday while we were wandering around Lyme, and we actually got sunburned! The sun cream was still tucked away in an unpacked suitcase — we certainly weren’t expecting it to be that warm. 😅

We walked down to the Cobb and along the beach. The view looking out to sea is absolutely wonderful and well worth the walk.

Today, my daughter has a couple of dinosaur 🦕 talks to attend, and then we’re heading down to the promenade for Day 1 of the Fossil Festival.

Today we’re finally heading to the coast after a stopover in Bristol last night.

The journey yesterday was awful — heavy rain, accidents, and lots of delays — but hopefully the worst of the travelling is now behind us and we can start enjoying our holiday.

Later today we head off on our holidays to the land of the dinosaurs 🦕 — the Jurassic Coast!

There’s just a little more packing to do, plus a couple of hours at work, and then we’re on our way. The weather is looking good for next week, and I’m really looking forward to this break after a difficult few months.
