Case study:
Scales Plastering Ltd, lime plastered an arch over a staircase on a 200 hundred year old building that had debonded and had to be removed. As the building is grade 1 listed by English Heritage, it had to go back the way it was.
The work had to be formally run freehand by eye,
rendered in lime sand mortar, then plastered in lime finish, keeping the building inline with the original design which allows the building to breathe and its beauty for future generations!

Scales removed areas of lath and plaster ceilings that had deboned at The Old Manor Wetherspoons in Bracknell. We re-lathed the ceiling and rendered with lime putty sand and horse hair as original, Then lime plastered the whole ceiling with R100 eco lime finish plaster back to new again! Scales have just been given the order to do the lime plaster work to Little Down House in Bournemouth a grade 1 listed building under English Heritage , owned by J.P.Morgan & Chase Bank, it was built in 1750 and over the years the walls were painted and wallpapered with unbreathable products causing mould and decay.
We will be re plastering the walls with St Astier R100 lime eco plaster to bring back the health of the building to be decorated to a very high standard.

Scales are currently doing the stone repairs to the The Kings Head Inn a grade 1 listed building in Salisbury Wiltshire,
The Bath Stone has become very weak due to water damage over the years and could cause a hazard of falling materials.
