We’re currently getting ready for a well deserved break over in France 🇫🇷

But before we could leave, we had a few jobs to tie up beforehand! 🧰

Especially this job where the window was jammed and with the heatwave coming, we couldn’t walk away! ☀️

The customer previously called someone else out from the local area to fix it… He told them that the parts were obsolete and the only option was a new window at over £600… We were called in for a second opinion and couldn’t stop laughing 🤣😂🤣

Clearly product knowledge isn’t their strong subject. Not only do our suppliers stock the part, we also had 2 in the van! 🚐

We got the window open straight away and found it was just lubrication and adjustment that was required at a fraction of what was quoted! 🪟

The window might be old, but a new one certainly wasn’t the only option here 😁 and when the time does come, we have recommended a professional window / door firm to her, who we know won’t stitch her up! 💪🏻

Another project wrapped up for Basingstoke Council at one of their facilities 🏢

The task involved finding a solution to modify 6 fire exit doors to swing outward and lock automatically 🤔

We removed the doors to replace the faulty transom closers, removed the screw in hook locks and installed screw-in deadlatches with lever handles, and used suitable fixings in its place 🧰

Additionally, we fitted blank cylinders on the outside, providing enhanced security compared to cover plates 💪🏻

We’ve been super busy lately and haven’t had a chance to post much 💪🏻

Recently finished a job that involved upgrading a property’s security for insurance purposes ✅

Fitted a British Standard deadlock on a stable door, and keyed alike the locks on one key 🗝️

On the French doors, we installed key locking mortice bolts and hinge bolts 🚪

On New Year’s Eve, a customer in Fleet experienced a break in at home on their outbuilding, resulting in stolen contents 🔨

We were called in to secure the area and fitted new handles along with an high-security 3* anti-snap cylinder to prevent future incidents 💪🏻

Quick job done on Christmas Eve for one of tenants in Chineham 🏠

Sorted a faulty lock on an outside cupboard that was basically an open invitation for thieves, so fresh fitted a brand new deadlock in its place to secure it! 🚪🗝️
