After having a break and spending the last 4 days away, camping with the family 🚐🏕️☀️ (all 20 of us) in the New Forest, we returned today and was straight back out to work over in Ascot! 🧰

This customer was unable to secure their main entrance gate which led to us stripping the lock down to repair it, leaving it locking better than before! 🪛

Out with the old… In with the new! 🚪

This wooden garden gate was barely functional and on its last legs! ❌

We were called in originally to fit a new lock on it so it could be used from both sides. We declined and advised the customer to upgrade the gate 💪🏻

We measured up, sourced and fitted this aluminium gate finished in anthracite grey! ✅

The customer is absolutely over the moon with the finished product 😁

We’ve been flat out as per usual, even throughout this heatwave 🥵

Then getting called out to properties like this… We were certainly tempted to jump straight into the pool! 🏊🏻‍♂️ 😆

This customer required new handles on various doors and a British standard cylinder with thumbturn fitted as the originals were showing signs of wear and becoming difficult to use 🧰

We’re currently getting ready for a well deserved break over in France 🇫🇷

But before we could leave, we had a few jobs to tie up beforehand! 🧰

Especially this job where the window was jammed and with the heatwave coming, we couldn’t walk away! ☀️

The customer previously called someone else out from the local area to fix it… He told them that the parts were obsolete and the only option was a new window at over £600… We were called in for a second opinion and couldn’t stop laughing 🤣😂🤣

Clearly product knowledge isn’t their strong subject. Not only do our suppliers stock the part, we also had 2 in the van! 🚐

We got the window open straight away and found it was just lubrication and adjustment that was required at a fraction of what was quoted! 🪟

The window might be old, but a new one certainly wasn’t the only option here 😁 and when the time does come, we have recommended a professional window / door firm to her, who we know won’t stitch her up! 💪🏻
