2014 feels like 9 years ago, it literally doesn't feel any shorter or longer. It has been exhausting at times but for the first time it actually feels like I have a business, not just an idiot with a chainsaw, and it might actually work. Thanks to all my customers, especially the regulars, who have supported me and encouraged me over the years. It has kept me going.
This week one of my regular customers asked how my business is going and when I said how busy I am she shrugged and said, "Well I'm not surprised you always do a brilliant job."
My aim is to try to do my best, like doing the extra stuff that nobody sees but often it can seem a thankless task so it was surprising how a little comment like that can pick you up.
Also I would like to thank those who have helped me out on countless occasions, you know who you are, I simply wouldn't have been running this many years without you.
Yeah this is starting to sound like an acceptance speech for an Oscar but I have to say thanks to God. Nine years? I wasn't sure if I would last till the end of the year. For some reason this is what I think he wants me to do and maybe in the future the reason will become clearer, until then I'll just keep plodding on.
And if you need any tree or hedge work done please let me know.
Please also support those who are self-employed, we don't get paid holidays and if you are sick and can't work the money stops coming in. Yes it was the choice we made and we can take time off when we want but it doesn't make it any easier.
