Well, that’s been a change in the weather!

A rather wet one for the lads on site today, but that hasn’t stopped progress on a new project. They’ve been busy digging out the new foundations, getting everything ready for the concrete to go in.

The brickwork is now finished and ready for James Conroy to come in and complete the roof. Another little piece of the build coming together 👌🏼

The Indian sandstone patio is now laid and ready for the final finishing touch ; pointing.

Pointing is more than just making the joints look neat. A properly pointed patio helps to secure the slabs in place, prevent weeds and debris from building up between the joints, reduce water getting underneath the paving and protect the patio from movement and erosion.

It also gives the whole patio that beautifully finished look, taking it from nearly there to complete!

The repointing works on the original brick building are nearly complete, bringing the character of the old barn back to life while giving it a fresh, solid finish.

While the boarded roof is now ready for its roof covering, another job ticked off as this barn conversion continues to take shape.

Time for the all-important septic tank installation . . .

Because on a build, the biggest jobs are often the ones you’ll never actually see.

The final two concrete pours are officially complete thanks to AMS Build

The concrete is in, and we’re now ready to move on to the next phase, starting the soakaways and paths.

The hand-cut roof is nearly complete on this barn conversion, and it’s really starting to take shape!

The blockwork and insulation to the gable are now finished, with the ladder installed and everything ready for the next stage.

The foundations for the new stable block are now in, with the first concrete pour complete and everything looking spot on ready for the next stage.

Built up from a solid hardcore base, reinforced with A393 steel mesh and finished with RC30 concrete, creating the strength and stability this build needs from the ground up.

The lower hand-cut roof on the barn extensions is now complete! We have now made a start on the main roof for the extensions, giving us a good start to the week ahead.
