š±š¹š„ Our recent trip to Lithuania has got us thinking even more about sauna culture.
We already knew how much of a part saunas play in Lithuanian life, but experiencing it again first-hand really brought it home to us.
We visited two different spas and absolutely loved how different the experiences were.
The sauna isnāt just somewhere you sit and get hot.
Itās a genuine experience.
Large sauna fans, ice, fruit, salt and honey all formed part of what we experienced, and each place had its own way of doing things.
But what we loved most was the social side.
Family. Friends. Conversation. Relaxation. And taking the time to actually enjoy the experience together.
It got us thinking about how much potential there is for this in the UK.
At Timber Team UK, our job is to build the sauna, but what happens inside it is what makes it special.
The atmosphere.
The rituals.
The people you share it with.
And the way you choose to use it.
Thereās no single way to enjoy a sauna, and thatās what we loved about the Lithuanian experience, the variety and the fact that each experience felt different.
Weāre already seeing more interest in saunas, wellness and outdoor living in the UK, and after this trip, weāre even more excited about the possibilities.
Maybe itās time to bring a little more of that Lithuanian sauna culture to the UK. š±š¹š¬š§š„
Would you try a more traditional Lithuanian-style sauna experience?
