After more than two decades of dedicated service, our Managing Director, Jon Hobden, will be leaving Littlewood Group on 5th June to begin a well-earned new chapter.

Jon has played a pivotal role in shaping Littlewood into the UK's leading fencing contractor. Through his leadership, the business has successfully navigated challenging economic periods, expanded into new markets and achieved sustained growth.

While Jon's business achievements have been significant, it is his impact on people that many will remember most. He made time for everyone, taking a genuine interest in the individuals behind the job titles. Whether remembering a small detail, offering support, or recognising a job well done, Jon helped create a culture where people felt valued and proud of their contribution.

On behalf of all the team, we would like to thank Jon for his outstanding contribution and unwavering commitment. We wish him every happiness for the future and hope he enjoys spending plenty of time on the farm with his cows and his family. 🐄

It was a pleasure to welcome you to our Battle office Dr Kieran Mullan for Bexhill & Battle.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Littlewood Fencing and for your kind and thoughtful comments. We are proud to share our journey and the continued work of our dedicated team.

During recess, I visited Littlewood Fencing, a long-established local business celebrating their 30-year anniversary this year. This business whose HQ is based in Battle, started off as a family fencing firm led by Jon Hobden and his brothers Paul and Nick. Whilst traditional fencing is still a core part of their business, the company now grown to over 220 employees and works on major infrastructure projects across the country and abroad with customers including HS2, National Highways, MOD. It was great to meet Jon and his strong and dedicated team based at Battle and hear about their projects, how the business continues to expand and diversify whilst maintaining a strong sense of community engagement and supporting staff to develop skills and careers.

I look forward to continue supporting local businesses, such as Littlewood Fencing which face tough economic times but remain committed to working hard and growing their businesses

This Easter, Littlewood Group was proud to support a number of local community appeals through donations from our team.

We were pleased to contribute to the VolkerHighways West Sussex Easter Egg Appeal, donating Easter eggs to St Wilfrid's Hospice Chichester. 🐣

We also supported the Balfour Beatty Living Places Buckinghamshire Easter Egg Appeal, helping to make a difference in the local community. Together with the wider Alliance, this effort contributed to over 1,000 Easter eggs being donated, worth more than £3,000.

Initiatives like these are an important way for us to give back, supporting patients, families, and staff over the Easter period. We’re always glad to work alongside partners who share our commitment to making a difference locally.
