As mental health awareness week continues, our mental health first aiders continue to drop hampers out to site.
This is something we will be continuing throughout the month, as the feedback we’ve received has been exemplary.

Yes, the idea was to raise awareness and start conversations, but it’s also been a well received pick-me-up for all.
With this in mind, it’s something we’re excited to take into the future.

No matter the time of year, it’s always important to talk about our mental health. If that’s in person, or another kind of support, is a valued service we’re proud to stand by & share with our team.

What actually is a ‘Mental Health First Aider’?

A Mental Health First Aider is a trained person who can recognise when someone may be struggling with their mental health, provide initial support, and help them access the right support services.

At ECL we’re big supporters of - an amazing service offering real, confidential help & support to our team.

For Mental Health Awareness Week, our Mental Health First Aiders have started delivering hampers out to sites across ECL.

The construction industry has long been heavily affected by mental health challenges, so we’re making a conscious effort to open up the conversation - Since starting the conversation is often the hardest part.

The hampers are filled with goodies including breakfast items, biscuits, tea, coffee and cake, alongside conversation starters, jokes and mental health information packs.

The aim?
To make time to talk. 🫶

Mark Abraham, a local farmer in Sharnbrook, explains why it’s important to support local 🌱

His Farmshop has been a part of the community since 1951, starting with his grandad and being passed down through the generations. They do an incredible array of local produce & host amazing PYO events as the seasons change 🎃

Easter Charity Round-Up 🐣

We’ve been busy behind the scenes this Easter, supporting our local community and giving back where we can.

💛 £306 raised at Head Office for this year’s chosen charities
🐰 ‘Digger’ the ECL Easter Bunny delivered a hamper of crafts & games to Ridgeway School in Kempston (with a few sweet treats included 🤫)
🚜 We also stopped by Sharnbrook to drop off an Easter treat for Farmer Mark, who’s been a huge support to ECL on one of our new sites

A big thank you to everyone who got involved! It’s these small moments that make a big difference.
