When Oil Tanks Fail: Going above & beyond for our Clients
The past few weeks have certainly kept the team busy at MK1 Heating!
We’ve had a couple of situations where oil tanks have split, leaving our customers facing a potentially very stressful situation. When an oil tank fails, it’s not simply a case of turning up with a new one and swapping it over. There’s often a lot of work involved beforehand — particularly when there’s a significant amount of heating oil that needs to be safely pumped out and stored.
On both occasions, our team has had to go above and beyond to make sure everything was dealt with properly.
Our priority was to safely pump out the remaining oil, minimise any risk of leakage and then remove the failed tanks. Once the old tanks were dealt with, we could get the new replacements installed and the systems back up and running.
These jobs can be messy, time-consuming and challenging, but they’re exactly the sort of situations where having an experienced team makes a real difference.
For us, it’s not just about replacing an oil tank. It’s about helping our customers through what can be a very worrying situation, keeping disruption to a minimum and making sure the job is completed properly from start to finish.
A split oil tank can cause significant damage if it isn’t dealt with quickly, so if you notice any signs of a leak, damage to your tank or a strong smell of heating oil, don’t ignore it. Get it checked as soon as possible.
A big shout-out to our team for the hard work over the past few weeks. They’ve certainly gone the extra mile — and it’s times like these that remind us why we’re so proud of the service we provide.
