🚀 One Team. One Vision. One 1% better every day!

This week, we brought together colleagues from across M&M Contractors and Mascott Construction for our annual Company Day at the beautiful Hilton Templepatrick!

With teams travelling from across Ireland and the UK, the day was all about connecting people, sharing ideas, strengthening relationships and aligning ourselves for the next phase of growth.

Throughout the day, our teams participated in a series of engaging and interactive sessions led by Ciaran May, exploring what sustainable high performance looks like both individually and collectively. We challenged ourselves to think differently, embrace accountability, focus on the controllables and identify the marginal gains that help us improve by 1% every day.

The energy, openness and engagement in the room demonstrated exactly why our people remain our greatest strength. It was fantastic to see colleagues from different regions, departments and businesses sharing experiences, building new connections and contributing ideas that will help shape our future.

The day concluded with an incredibly inspiring keynote from Dr. Michael McKillop MBE, whose story of resilience, determination and overcoming adversity left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. His message was simple yet powerful: no matter what challenges life presents, you always have a choice in how you respond. Never give up, keep moving forward and focus on what is possible rather than what stands in your way.

As our businesses continue to grow across the UK and Ireland, days like these are a reminder that success is built on people, culture and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

A huge thank you to Ciarán May, Michael McKillop and everyone who attended and contributed to making the day such a success.

Now it's time to take that energy, those learnings and that 1% mindset back into our teams and continue pushing forward together.

Congratulations to our CEO, Gareth Loye, on being appointed President of the Construction Employers Federation (CEF). 👏

Having successfully served as Vice President, Gareth has now assumed the role of President, with the official handover taking place at the CEF's first-ever Annual Conference.

During the ceremony, members paid tribute to outgoing President Bryan Vaughan for his leadership and commitment over the past two years. The Federation also welcomed Janet Deane as Vice President, alongside five new members joining the Federation Council.

This appointment is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of Gareth's dedication to the construction and infrastructure industry. Through his leadership at M&M Contractors (Europe) Ltd & Mascott Construction and his wider contribution to the sector, Gareth continues to champion growth, innovation and the future of construction across Northern Ireland & beyond.

We are incredibly proud to see Gareth take on this prestigious role and look forward to supporting him throughout his presidency.

Across construction, utilities and infrastructure, the pressures of deadlines, long hours and demanding environments can often go unseen. That’s why creating a culture where people feel supported, respected and comfortable speaking up is so important.

Our people are our greatest asset. We are committed to continuing to build a positive working environment where wellbeing, teamwork and support are encouraged both on and off site.

Really positive morning yesterday spent at the ‘Building Respect: Laying the Foundations for Change’ event alongside others from across Northern Ireland’s construction industry.

The session brought together key voices from across the sector to discuss the importance of respect, improving industry culture, encouraging inclusion and continuing to drive meaningful change throughout construction. Thank you to Construction Employers Federation , & for their collaborative approach & organising this impactful session!
