New Week, New Client!

Despite the challenging weather, we successfully completed a fence refresh for a new customer, giving their outdoor space a much-needed boost.

While on-site, our client was so pleased with the work that they asked us to undertake some additional jobs, including the removal of further fencing. We also installed and connected temporary wire fencing to ensure their dog stays safe and secure until a neighbouring property replaces the existing concrete rails.

Another happy customer and another project completed with care and attention to detail.

Another fencing transformation completed by the team this week.

We returned to an existing customer’s property this time to give the front fence a full refresh. Rather than replacing faulty sections, the customer chose a full rail and board upgrade to completely improve the look and finish of the frontage.

The gate was also stripped back and fully refreshed to match the new fencing — leaving the whole entrance looking clean, strong, and like new again.

A simple upgrade can make a huge difference to the overall appearance of a property.

Another project completed by the Genesis Maintenance Team.

What started as a fencing project for a returning client quickly turned into something even bigger — transforming an unused corner of their property into a practical covered outdoor storage area.

We installed a new lean-to roof using 166 box section in plasticoated Anthracite, complete with a clear roof section to allow plenty of natural light through the space. To finish the project properly, we also fitted a hidden guttering system along with a new soakaway drain for effective water management.

A great way to maximise outdoor space while keeping everything protected all year round.

Back with another valued client this week.

Another quality transformation completed by the team.

Today we replaced an old, damaged felt roof on a child’s playhouse and gave it a durable new upgrade.

The new roof was installed using plastic coated 5mm steel in Anthracite Grey, finished off with matching front and side fascia for a clean, modern look.

Ivy Removal & Decking Restoration Project.

A new week brought new client and a new project involving a property heavily impacted by invasive ivy growth. Over time, the ivy had spread aggressively—working its way through the decking and completely overtaking sections of the fencing.

The client had previously carried out an initial cutback carried out via chainsaw to manage the worst of the growth. However, a full removal and proper treatment were needed to prevent regrowth and restore the area.

Work Completed
Full Ivy Removal:
Ivy was cut back to the roots across all affected areas of the property.

Root Treatment:
All exposed roots were treated with a professional stump killer to stop regrowth.

Ground Protection:
Treated areas were covered and finished with gravel for a clean, low-maintenance surface.

Under Decking Treatment:
The area beneath the decking was thoroughly spray-treated to eliminate any remaining growth.

Decking Repairs:
Decking was reinforced and secured (“taped up”) to restore stability where the ivy had caused disruption.

Fence Improvements:
Sections of fencing impacted by the ivy were upgraded and restored.

Final Result:
The space has been fully reclaimed—transforming an overgrown, invasive problem into a clean, manageable, and structurally sound outdoor area. The treatment ensures long-term prevention while the repairs bring the decking and fencing back to a solid condition.

A couple of busy days this week working with a new client on an exciting garden project.

Stage one is now complete — clearing what could only be described as a mini jungle! The goal was to open up the space and see how much of it can be transformed into something usable.

This spot gets great sun from mid-afternoon, but with no access before, it’s never been properly used.

Next up:
Stage Two: installing a 6ft fence along the left side of the property.

Stage Three: where the real creativity begins…
