Project Spotlight: Private Home Garden Pond with Allan Block retaining wall

Allan block in Pewter was used in the installation of this private home garden pond in England by Shade Water Gardens

The project incorporated approximately 80 tonnes of granite to form dramatic waterfalls and naturalistic rock features, creating movement, sound, and a strong connection to nature.

Allan Block was selected because its hollow-core design makes it highly adaptable and easy to scribe around natural stone. This flexibility enabled the team to create retaining walls that seamlessly integrated with the granite rock formations while maintaining clean, contemporary edging around the water feature.
