It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the untimely passing of one of our own, Callum McVeigh.

Callum’s loss has come as a profound shock to everyone at McVeigh Contracts. He was not only a director of the company, but a respected leader, a trusted colleague, and a true friend to many. His dedication, work ethic, and commitment to both the business and the people around him were unwavering.

Beyond his professional role, Callum will be fondly remembered for the small moments that brought people together — especially his enjoyment of a daily football debate. Those conversations, full of passion and good humour, were a regular part of our days and are memories that will stay with us always.

Callum leaves behind a legacy that will not be forgotten, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences are with Callum’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that their privacy be respected as they grieve this devastating loss.

With 12 A, B and D works success throughout 23/24 and for years previous, we thought we’d expand our range of works just in time for Christmas. Introducing our newest accreditation to our companies Sector Scheme 12 C. NHSS 12C mobile lane closure is a traffic management method designed to safely manage vehicle flow during roadworks or maintenance activities on multi-lane highways. It involves deploying a convoy of specially equipped vehicles that move together to create a temporary buffer zone, protecting workers and guiding traffic around the work area. 12C mobile lane closures are commonly used for tasks like line painting, inspection, or debris clearance, ensuring safety for both workers and road users while maintaining a steady flow of traffic.
