📢 WE’RE HIRING: BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR
Intelligent Electrical Solutions Scotland Ltd is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator to join our growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, commercially aware and experienced individual to take ownership of key financial and administrative responsibilities within a busy electrical contracting business.

🕒 Hours: Part-time or full-time, depending on the successful candidate
💷 Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Key responsibilities include:
• Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Supplier account management and payments
• Credit control and customer account monitoring
• Processing employee expenses
• Assisting with VAT returns
• Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Preparing and maintaining project and job costings
• Monitoring actual project costs against budgets and quotations
• Producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliation spreadsheets and reports
• Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• General accounts and office administration
The successful candidate should have previous bookkeeping or accounts experience and be confident using:
• Sage 50 Accounts
• Sage 50 Payroll
• Microsoft Excel, including detailed costing and reporting spreadsheets
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft OneDrive
Previous experience in the electrical, construction, contracting or a similar industry would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge or experience of job costing, reporting, CIS, applications for payment, valuations, subcontractor accounts and project profitability would also be beneficial.
